Do you love elephants? Then this is your lifetime opportunity to spend your days in the company of four remarkable giants at the Elephant Camp. Much more than an “elephant ride”, you go on picnics, wildlife safaris, and can even help with the feeding, washing, and training of these highly intelligent creatures. The Elephant Camp is located on a private reserve and sleeps only 8 guests, so you’ll have plenty of time to spend with your friends

DAY 1 - VICTORIA FALLS / ELEPHANT CAMP
You will be met at the airport, or at your hotel in Victoria Falls and be driven 17 miles (28 km) to the Elephant Camp, where you will participate in a once in a lifetime opportunity to intimately experience these truly amazing and intelligent giants. Not only do you ride on their back while on wildlife safaris, you get to share time with the life of an Elephant at close quarters. The elephants are all orphans, with two of them, Miss Ellie and Jumbo, coming from the Zambezi Valley, while the other two, Jock and Jack, come from Hwange National Park. They have since grown up with humans and are well-accustomed to visitors.

The Elephant Camp only accommodates a maximum of eight guests in four thatched chalets with en-suite facilities plus dining area, swimming pool and bar/patio that has a sweeping view of open plains. With excellent food, experienced guides, the company of elephants and the warm and friendly atmosphere your days at Elephant Camp will be a truly memorable part of your African experience.

Over your three days at Elephant Camp you will have the opportunity to participate in a number of activities, with the emphasis on spending time with the elephants - either wildlife viewing from their backs, picnicking with them on the estate, grooming, feeding or swimming with them. It’s a true adventure to be able to just experience the pleasure of being close to such magnificent animals. Game drives, both at night and during the day, as well as guided walks, are also available - either on the estate or into the neighboring Zambezi National Park.

This morning after a final breakfast with your giant friends, you’ll bid goodbye with memories to last a lifetime. You will be driven to the Victoria Falls Airport for your flight to Johannesburg and home, or begin the next leg of your safari.
