I T I N E R A R Y
DAY 1
Meet & Greet by your guide at JNB. Depending on your flight arrival we will visit one of the Lion Parks and short tour of Pretoria City. In the late afternoon you will be transferred to your Hotel near Pretoria.
DAY 2
Travel via the N4, to Belfast, Dullstroom of the early settlers, and onto Lydenburg of the 1845 Voortrekkers and Long Tom Pass of the Anglo - Boer War of 1899-1902, while crossing the Drakensberg Mountains towards to Kruger National Safari Park.
DAY 3
After breakfast we leave the Hotel to enter the Kruger National Park, cameras and binoculars at the ready in search of the "Big 5". On route we will stop at one of the picnic sites for lunch. We carry on with our Safari drive before returning to our Lodge
DAY 4
Early morning breakfast, we leave the area for the upper meander of the panoramic route including the Blyderiver Canyon, Pot Holes, Pilgrims Rest, and Gods Window, Wonder View and visit some of the water falls of the area as used in the Gold era.
DAY 5
We leave after breakfast to enter Swaziland at the Border Post. On our arrival we will visit a Swazi Cultural Village were you would be treated to some traditional Swazi song and dance. If you like you can also practice your tribal dancing, After a traditional lunch we will visit a Craft Market at Mantenga before arriving at Matsaphafor our overnight stay and dinner.
DAY 6
Departing Matsapha after breakfast we travel towards the Border Post returning back into South Africa, on route we stop for a coffee break and photo stop at one of the Lion reserves. After clearing immigration and customs we travel into the oldest proclaimed Game Sanctuary in Africa, the Pongola Game Reserve est in 1894.
Our overnights stay is at a Private Game Lodge in the Reserve. Accommodation is in thatched log chalets set on the hillside overlooking the Pongola River with views of Hippos resting midstream. After a buffet lunch you will be treated to an afternoon Game Drive in an open game vehicle to see some of the animals of the reserve. Dinner is served in one of the boma's, listening to the soft crackle of the open campfire. Sit back, relax and enjoy
DAY 7
Breakfast is served on the open deck overlooking the river. We take our leave from the Lodge to travel south towards the Hluhluwe Game Reserve for a Safari Drive and Lunch in the park; the reserve is the second oldest park est in 1895.The reserve is about 90,000 ha and is home to the Big 5.
DAY 8
Saying farewell to Hluhluwe we travel south to visit a Traditional Zulu Culture Village. This is an authentic Zulu Village, both men and woman still wear their traditional dress, you will be shown how to interact within Zulu customs and learn to speak some Zulu. Accommodation is in Beehive huts facilities en-suite.
An extended 3-day Zulu experience is also available giving an opportunity to live in the Zulu village within a traditional environment.
DAY 9
We depart from the Cultural Village and our Zulu experience and travel south into the modern City of Durban.We take a short City Tour with a visit to the Victorian Indian Market were you could buy amongst other things your favorite freshly packed Indian spices. After the tour you will be taken to your Hotel in Durban, the rest of the time is at leisure to explore the beach front or venue's of interest, your guide will supply upon request some places of interest that you may want to visit.
DAY 10
Transfers arranged to Durban Int Airport or if required you can travel back to Jo'Burg Int Airport for your next connection
