The itinerary offers you the unique possibility to combine your honeymoon with a touch of adventure. During your morning and evening game drives you will track Africa's distinctive wildlife. Relax at the pool and enjoy the privacy of your tasteful individually designed and decorated room. Clink glasses of champagne and make declarations of love under the African sky that will last forever.
Accommodation: Luxury Lodge on the banks of Sand River.
Activities - Overlooking the Sand River from the thatch viewing deck, take place in exciting morning and evening game drives, sip a sundowner in the bush, enjoy a private bubble bath and dine in the boma.
Destination - Exeter Private Game Reserve, Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Day 1: Exeter River Lodge, Exeter Private Game Reserve
On your arrival at Exeter River Lodge, situated in the world-famous Exeter Private Game Reserve bordering the Kruger National Park, you will enjoy welcome drinks at the lounge area. Exeter River Lodge is built on the banks of the Sand River under a superb canopy of tall shady trees. Check in will be done at this time. Your luggage will be delivered to your room. A bottle of wine or champagne and a welcome note is waiting for you in your suite.
Enjoy Lunch on the deck under the shade of sausage trees. The afternoon is up to you. Relax at the pool or explore your new environment. Exeter River Lodge offers spectacular views of the 65 000 hectares of prime Big Five Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The exotic African atmosphere is reflected in Exeter's success as an organization with numerous Service Excellence Awards to its credit.
After some Tea, coffee and snacks you will go on the afternoon game drive. During the drive, the vehicles will stop in the bush where you can sip refreshing sundowners. Arrive back at the Exeter River Lodge. You will have a chance to freshen up prior to
dinner in the boma.
While you’re dining, staff will prepare a special bubble bath for the honeymoon couple. This will include petals scattered on the floor from the entrance of the room up to the bath. Two glasses of champagne or sherry will be placed on the side of the bath.
Day 2: Exeter River Lodge, Sabi Sands
Wake up call in the early morning! After some tea, coffee and rusks, which are available at the main reception, you set out on a fascinating morning game drive. On returning to the Exeter River Lodge, a delicious breakfast will await you. Cereal, yoghurt and fruit are served buffet style while the cooked breakfast is ordered and served.
Day 3: Exeter River Lodge, Sabi Sands
Sleep in or wake up and get ready for another wildlife experience. Have a coffee or tea and some rusks before you will explore an unforgettable morning in the wilderness on a game drive. Breakfast will be served when you return from the game drive. Take a tour of Exeter River Lodge.
Check out of the Exeter Game River and transfer to the Leopard Hills / Ulusaba airstrip where you will board the Federal Air shuttle flight to Johannesburg International Airport.
