Adventure Diving Safaris offers scuba diving safaris and holidays to the best dive sites in South Africa and Mozambique. Dive in South Africa for the thrill of Great White shark cage diving and Seal diving in Gansbaai/Dyer Island, Tiger and other shark diving at Aliwal Shoal and Protea Banks, sub-tropical reef diving at Sodwana Bay, and Wreck (that you can actually see) diving at any of many areas along the coast of South Africa.

I T I N E R A R Y

Day 1
Arrive Durban airport & transfer to Umkomaas on the Natal South coast. Check-in at the guest house & relax for the rest of day.

Accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis; all rooms are en-suite. There is a pool on the premises.

Day 2 & Day 3
Two dives a day on the Aliwal Shoal, wrecks & surrounding reefs. Breakfast at the guest house in between dives.

Depths on the Shoal ranges from 6m – 30m. The Aliwal Shoal is where the Raggedtooth Shark are found in numbers during our winter months – June to November. This is a great dive destination all year round. Afternoons at leisure.

Day 4
Enjoy your last dive & after breakfast we head for Zululand. Check-in at Kwabekithunga, home to the Fakade family.

Here you will meet this Zulu family, learn about the Zulu culture & traditions. Dinner will give you the opportunity to taste traditional dishes & then enjoy Zulu dancing.

Day 5
After breakfast we depart for Lake St.Lucia, situated in one of our 3 World Heritage Sites. Embark on a boat cruise on the estuary to view the hippo, crocodiles and amazing bird life. A light lunch can be enjoyed on the boat.

Depart for Sodwana Bay. Check-in & relax before dinner. Pool, restaurant & bar at the main lodge. There are fully equipped dive centers in the area.

Day 6, 7 & 8
Your first 2 dives will be on 2-Mile reef. This is the closest reef to the beach and could be called a “house reef”. Depths at Sodwana range from 9m – 30m. Other reefs – 5 Mile, 7 Mile and 9 Mile, all a must see. Breakfast will be brought to you on the beach or can be enjoyed at the restaurant. Afternoons at leisure.

Dinner – one night we will have a fish braai at Lake Sabiya or the boma at the lodge. OTHER ACTIVITIES at Sodwana:- Horse riding, quad biking, turtle tours (Nov. to Feb only)

Day 9
After breakfast we depart for a game lodge, situated in northern Zululand, where we will search for the “BIG 5”.

Arrive in time for lunch. Rest up for a while before going on your first afternoon game drive, in open game viewing vehicles.

Dinner is served at the lodge after your game drive.

Day 10
An early start to your morning, for your second game drive. Tea/coffee served on the drive. Breakfast at the main lodge on your return.

A walk with a qualified ranger before lunch is optional.
Lunch. Leisure time – have a swim or simply enjoy your surroundings before your last afternoon game drive. Dinner on your return.

Day 11
You last early morning game drive to find those animals that have eluded you.

Breakfast & then we depart for Durban Airport.
