General Information
Akeru Safari Lodge is located in Timbavati, which has remained untouched for millions of years, and has retained its wild rugged character. It is home to all of Africa's big game. It is also the spiritual home of the white lion, that has been called Akeru.
As there is no electricity at this camp, lanterns for light, eco-friendly battery power for fans and gas geysers for hot water are just some of the essentials that ensure an original luxurious rustic bush experience. Four-poster beds, white linen and draped mosquito nets also ensure absolute romance.
The social area at Akeru Safari Lodge includes a lounge with a fireplace, a bar, an elevated loft area, an inside and outside dining area and the ultimate al fresco experience - an open air boma.

Akeru Safari Lodge accommodates16 and is ideal for hosting small gatherings of family, friends, mini brain storming sessions and staff incentives. The professional armed rangers and trackers conduct all game drives in pursuit of Africa's big five and other game, birds and reptiles.
Each of the 7 thatched chalets is en-suite with both shower and bath. The rooms offer a combination of family suites, doubles and twins to satisfy everyone's specific requirements.
